Winter is fully here in the UK.
November began with a trip to Germany, which was so nice. I saw friends and focused on work, before experiencing two bereavements at the end of November. In December, I saw my partner’s child dance showcase and then we spent Christmas and New Year together. We saw both her family and mine, had dinner with my best friend, and were home with the bunnies for New Year’s Eve. So it’s been a reflective period to say the least.

Reflections on the Journey:
Intuition:
i. Read 6 books (& Take Notes): – I completed 4 books in 2024, although I did spend some time reading at the end of December.
ii. Continue Weekly Therapy: – Tick. In November, my therapist and I agree that I have the skills I need for now, and thus I stopped my counselling sessions after almost 2.5 years. I’m still feeling generally positive about this, although definitely adjusting after having such a long habit.
iii. Return to Daily Journaling : – I used this a bit through these months, but am also questioning when it’s most helpful and for what purpose journalling has taken on for me.
Creation:
iv. Track Fiction Wordcount: – I didn’t write – so I guess tick?
v. Weekly Integration: – Not really, but I have still done a bit of keeping on top of this.
Stabilisation:
vi. Build on my Healthy Habits: – Movement has dropped off, but has dropped in some regard, but I’m keeping to my minimums of
vii. Movement 3x a Week: – Nope. I exercised 7/30 days in November and 9/31 days in December. I definitely had to rest more with the colder weather and seemed to need more time to recover when I did exercise, which is useful to know.
viii. Create a Cleaning Routine: – Some parts of this, I’ve stuck to, and others I did not. Meg kindly helped me by either helping me or just doing a lot of the ‘deep clean’ items while I made her tea.
Connection:
ix. Socialise Monthly With Friends: – Tick! I went on holiday for 4 days with Meg, I went over to a friends house one day I had annual leave for lunch and cuddles with her cat, and saw my parents and grandma in November. In December, there was friends and family visits, and I did archery in both months.
x. About Reinvention and Creativity: – I wrote 6 newsletters and updated my Patreon, including a post about the grief I experienced.
xi. Access Nature: – The cold weather isn’t helpful with this, but we visited 2 zoos in Berlin, I spent time outside when I did archery, and on the dog walk with my partner, best friend, and her husband.
Integration:
xii. Build on Skills: – I’m at 544 days of continued Duolingo learning, finished making a meditation course and had my short story published in FLAG: Vol 2!
