For some reason, on 28th June 2009, I decided I should really keep track of what I read.

Then, when I noticed I’d only read 12 books in 2011, (having managed 26 books in 2009 and 2010 without thinking), I began to set myself the target of 26 books a year – one a fortnight. Having missed this target, I lowered this to 24 for 2015, then to 12 for 2016. In 2017, I only managed 5. I managed 12 in 2018, and 8 in 2019. After 12 in 2020, I was back down to 5 in 2021 and 2022. Then just 3 in 2023, 4 in 2024 and 3 in 2025.

Time to really consider the best options moving forward.
